I read a
bearing of 9* from the start point using a four-element 'Arrow-Antenna'
Yagi. The signal was very weak and variable. I presume the variable part
was from aircraft above the Fox, reflecting the signal down to us.
I tried to take a second bearing from the Ohlone College
parking lot but, got two bearings. One towards the Fox and the other
180* away from the Fox. At this point I just followed my Doppler which
sort of indicated I should just drive north on Mission Blvd. and keep an
eye out East. |

|
Now heading
East on HWY-680, I made a premature exit onto Vargas Rd. which only
after a short distance I realized I should have gone one more exit to
Sheridan Rd. I had to get back onto HWY-680 West, make my U-Turn on
Mission Blvd. and head once again East on 680 to Sheridan Rd. Written by:
