The
actual bearing to the Fox was 25.6* true.
My initial bearing was 49* true.
Bob-KF6VSE, initial bearing was 20*.
At the beginning of this hunt, Bob also advised he thought 25* was
another good initial bearing.Why can't I get a
decent initial bearing?
At the end of each hunt we all debrief and make
conclusions on our hunting efforts.
Henry talked about getting at least two initial
bearing from the start point. One from the flat portion, near the
parking lot and the second from the cliff edge of the hill. That way you
can determine if the transmitter is right under you or further out,
beyond the mountain ridge tops. Very good idea, thanks Henry.
