Henry-KF6PCE set up this Pack-A-Tent hunt. First of it's kind for the
San Francisco T-Hunting Group. Although all
three teams found the Fox within 13 hours, this hunt had all the makings
of a two-day head-banger.
Henry set up two transmitters on the same Fox
frequency, 146.565 Mhz. The primary #1 transmitter would transmit for
1-minute and then be off for 4-minutes.
The secondary #2 transmitter was a voice recorder,
repeater. The hunters would transmit on an off-set frequency and the #2
Fox would repeat what every they said on the Fox frequency. This allowed
the hunters to continue hunting the Fox during the 4-minutes,
transmitter #1 was off.
Information was provided by Rich-KN6FW, since I was
not on this hunt.
