Maps to the
left show my initial bearing (104*) and GPS track to the hidden
transmitter. As you can see in my end-game, I made some mistakes on
either side of the actual FOX location but, I eventually found it. |
Why GPS routing is so good
|
I wanted to
share my GPS track along my initial bearing to show how well the Garmin
StreetPilot-2610
worked in plotting the shortest distance towards the hidden transmitter.
I really don't know the streets in Pleasanton or Livermore, I put my
faith in the GPS to route me to the fox. |

Hunting
Equipment: 1) 4-Element
ARROW Yagi. For my
initial bearing.
2) MK4 Sniffer.
Used as a receiver for my Yagi, as well as my U-R-Here radio and close-in sniffer.
3) AHHA Microfinder
Doppler.
4) Garmin
StreetPilot-2610. Computer assisted route and street level maps. |
